They're not really respectable, I'd say.
Pornography is more accepted.
And prostitution is more of a necessity for the prostitute in most cases.
Porn stars get famous and prostitutes get arrested.
I guess I have more sympathy and pity for prostitutes.

How can either be respectable? I woulnd't really mentally imagine respecting someone in either line of work.

If I had to chose one that I would respect more it would definitely be pornography.

For two reasons:
One: Pornography Is actually legal, unlike prostitution.

Two: In pornography, they actually take cautions to ensure you don't get an STD.

And besides, girls in porno at least sometimes get to be a dom in some kinda kinky bdsm video.

Well...depends on your role really. If you're the prostitute or porn star, it really won't matter. You're being paid to have sex. Or consentually have free sex while someone pays to film it. If you're a pimp of photographer, you watch and make sure things don't go bad. Porno is safer however. Most companies require bi-yearly HIV testing and porn stars don't get hit as much unless that's the niche they're in. On the other side of things...the average joe can participate in prostitution and gain the fringe benefits thereof. So it depends on your perspective.

Tough choice..
Both have pro's & con's...
I would say prostitution is more respectable..
But I could be convinced otherwise...
