The carat symbol (^) is used for power symbols, 6.
Lets rewrite your equation:
(7*x^3*(-x)^7) / (14*x^4)

7/14=1/2
(-x)^7 can be rewritten as ((-1)^7)*(x^7)
(-1)^7=-1
So your final coefficient is -(1/2)
Now add the powers of x in the numerator and subtract the powers of x in the denominator 3+7-4=6
The final simplification is -(1/2)*x^6.

(7x^3) * (x^7) / (14x^14) = ?

Add the exponents when multiplying them, subtract them when dividing, then multiply by the factors.

x^3 * x^7 = x^10

x^10 / x^14 = x^(-4) or 1/(x^4)

7/14 = 1/2

So the answer is 1 / (2x^4)

well after multiplication the top part comes out to be7x^21
and the bottom bart is 14x^4
Which after deviding by 7 = x^21 divided by 14x^4
Which can further be reduced to X^7 divided by 2x
For the power sign I used (shift 6)

Hope this helps.

the equation will be 7x^3 (-x^7) / 14x^4

first, simplify the numerical and literal coefficient of the numerator and denominator -x^7/2x

then simplify the variable x

that would be -x^6/2
and that is the answer for your equation
