Jimmy Buffett

"Come Monday" is a song by Jimmy Buffett. It was first released on his 1974 album Living And Dying In 3/4 Time.

Buffett wrote the song to his wife while he was on tour, as outlined in the song's opening lyrics:

Headin’ up to San Francisco,
For the Labor Day week-end show.
I’ve got my hush-puppies on;
I guess I never was meant for glitter rock and roll.
And honey I didn’t know,
That I’d be missin’ you so.
Chorus:
Come monday, it’ll be all right.
Come monday, I’ll be holdin’ you tight,
I spent four lonely days in a brown L. A. haze,
And I just want you back by my side.
This song is one of Buffett's more popular, second only to his anthem "Margaritaville".

Lucky 7, at least that's who sings it so I suppose that's who wrote it also.
