How do I create my own podcast?

I have recently discovered the world of podcasts - well, listening to them anyway. I have been inspired sufficiently enough to look into how I go about starting my own. How do I go about doing this? Does it cost a great deal? Can you make your podcasts available on iTunes?!

This site has directions for both Windows and McIntosh computers with links to free software that you will need.

go to cnet.com, they have (right now) a course on podcasting
