"We need to fight them over there so that they don't follow us here" is the dumbest thing I ever heard. "They" aren't concentrated in Iraq. They have gone into Iraq, but only after we established the greatest Al Qaeda recruiting tool they could want, complete with real-time training. There's still plenty of you who think Iraq was involved in 9/11. Read the commission report. There was NO CONNECTION between Al Qaeda and Iraq. The hijackers were mostly Saudis. Guess what? There is still Al Qaeda outside of Iraq. And they have access to maps. They don't have to follow us here. Instead of mindlessly echoing this brainless crap, why don't we focus on really stopping terrorism?

My friend sister-godzilla proves my point by parroting yet another slogan. That one didn't quite work out, though, did it?

How are the Repubs "tough" or the Dems "cowardly?" If any one of these chickenhawks picked up a gun in a war zone, they'd s**t their pants. It's not very tough throwing other people's kids into a fight.

I think about ALL slogans, as they have to make some degree of sense; otherwise "The terrorists win."

I don't believe in the dem's slogan "cut and run".
Look what happened in Vietnam. We cut and ran and millions of Vietnamese were slaughtered by the communiists.

The problem, of course, is that the whole system is flawed. You can't trust anyone. All slogans therefore lie.
Though, I'd like to complain about all the complainers. Shut up and instead of just saying how it ought to be, why don't you actually offer up reasonable suggestions for a change?
