ill like to make a web sight but i can not seem to do it & ikeep tring to make one but all i do is search to make a web sight and i can no do it i try & try & i can not seem to do it and i want to make a web sight to sell my stuf dad try to help me but we can not do it can you pleas help ? You sign up for free and list the items that you want to sell. Its very easy to use and you will be stepped through the whole process.
There is no point trying to build a proper website (eg. www.jacobs-stuff.com) because you need to learn lots of different programs and programming languages first. Then, if you want to sell your stuff there you need to build an ecommerce package and connect yourself to a bank - which costs lots of money and will take you a long time to do.
Your best bet for selling stuff is definitely Ebay, and your best bet for just a "normal" website is MySpace.

1) Determine the objective of your website...whether its going to be a online photo album or a page about you and your family or a page about your passions say sports ( :) )...
2) Once you decide what you want to make it on decide what all you are going to put up
3) Once you are sure about what all you are going to put up (eg what pics,what text ..what scripts will you be using and all)..search for a good free web host which supports these features (Features such as a ftp client which will allow you to upload your pics,supports the kind of scripting you want like flash,javascript,cgi etc..)
some good ones are geocties.com,lycos.com,bravene...
4) Lot of these free web hosts provide website builders which have predefined templates to allow you create a decent website easily and quickly..if you are satisfied with that..well and good..but if you want some more customization then I suggest you get a free WYSIWYG HTML editor such as NVU ..(if you have microsoft frontpage already well and good..its quite good)..
5) Using the editor you can easily create a website ..learning a bit of HTML to improve the site appearance wont harm anything..

First your probably to young to sell stuff without help from an adult. Secondly if all you want to do is sell stuff go to Ebay.com and sell it.
