Absolutely.
I'm not sure what you mean by "roots", but trees have them, and some can be used for beneficial purposes. Sassafrass, for example, makes a nice tea that some claim has healthy effects.
Witchcraft does exist, but whether it has any power or not depends on how it is defined. Generally, it is a study of natural remedies, and as such has some genuine positive effects. For example, until "science" decided that Aloe Vera had some chemical contents that promoted healing, rubbing the sap from the plant on a burn would be considered witchcraft. If you want to define it as throwing frog parts into a boiling cauldron and summoning up ghosts to possess people and make them do strange things, I would say that no witchcraft could make people do stranger things than many do already.

What do you mean by roots?
And yes, witchcraft is real. I'm a witch (Wiccan actually. We don't cast any spell to hurt someone).

It's exactly like xtianity and the other religions....It can only affect you if you THINK it can, or if it's followers decide that THEY are going to do the work of the "big Cheese".
It's a mind game.
