I kind of knew this guy who seemed very straight. My girlfriend worked with his girlfriend who was a full on transsexual, had the full operation. You would never guess, just to look. Is it possible that this guy was unaware that his girlfriend used to be a guy, or at a certain point does that become obvious.

Me and my girlfriend both thought he had to know.

tjnstloui- I think a truly straight guy would have a big issue with this. Will ask in the relationship section so I don't get a bunch of people just giving the politically correct party line like I get here.

If she's had full genital reassignment surgery from a remotely competent doctor, then it's completely possible to never know.

Even If she hasn't, it's still possible to hide things but the hoops she'd have to jump through to do it would likely make most guys think *something* is up.

And as for it being an issue for a straight guy... well, if you can't tell by looking at her and everything 'down there' works right from his perspective, the only reason it *should* be an issue is if he wants kids. But some guys make issues out of it anyway :(

Of course a person can be completely oblivious to transsexual status of a lover, if they are on hormones and fully post-operative. How would you know? There have actually been famous cases of men and women both, without any hormones or surgery!- fooling their husbands and wives into thinking they were the other gender. How they do it, I'm not sure, but the husbands/wives never knew.

It's probable that this guy knows his girlfriend was born a man, and he is of course still straight. But if the girlfriend wanted, she could possibly have fooled him.

Why did you think that? Gender reassignment to its full surgical end, reassigns the gender. This person is now female, born that way or not. I would assume that personal information of this sort is between the two people, and not co-workers or co-workers boyfriends. What makes you think this guy you know doesn't know? If he wasn't straight, he wouldn't be attracted to a woman, that's how heterosexuality works.

Honestly, you can never be 100% sure of a person's sex at birth. As far as transwomen, it comes down to the issue of honesty in the relationship. Different people on both sides of the relationships have a wide variety of views on what to say and when to say it.
