What is the difference between <ol> and <ul> tags in HTML?

    will give you a numbered list, while
      will give you what we call a bulleted list.

      OL actually stands for "ordered list" while UL stands for "unordered list".

    tag stands for ordered list. The items in the list are prefixed with numbers,lower case alphabets or uppercase alphabets.

      tag stands for unordered list. Here the items in the list are prefixed with bullets(disc,squares,circles)etc.
