Hi. I'm a 22 yr old. I've had a hearing loss since I was 3. But not too long ago (a few months or few years ago), a family member of mine was trying to wake me up because my bedroom door was somehow locked. They knocked on the door really hard enough that I could hear it and it woke me up (I don't wear my hearing aids to bed). Now, I seem to have repercussions of that loud knocking every time I wake up. Can anyone who studies in this area or specializes in this area explain what this may be as far as my health? I'm not sure if it is a bad or a good thing. But I'm a little nervous because I kind of don't want to have these repercussions. A medical undergraduate (or even a certified audiologist) response is recommended. Thanks.

I really dont get what you are asking, the knocking was maybe loud, but if you have hearing loss then it was obviously not loud to you. What do you mean by repercussions? Sorry I just dont get it!

I think that you brain is remembering this (sub conscience) and when you get in the state of *almost awake, it is triggering this memory. Almost like a built in alarm clock.
