When I mentioned that I am of the ethnicity that he was mocking badly, and not in jest....he continued with the intent to discourage and embarass me...I am the only one of this ethnicity in my class.
Incidently, this is a math class....Not a social/cultural class.

I just wanted to answer the question as to my ethnicity....I am a human being. And anyone who does what he did is less than a human being. But because he is head of the math department as well, I am afraid to jeopardize my education as well...I am a math/biology major. HELP!

You need to go to the Dean. This is unacceptable behavior and needs to be taken care of. You can file charges against the professor...and you should!
I'm sorry this happened to you...may I ask your ethnicity and the ethnicity of your prof. May I ask where you attend school.

I wasn't trying to insult you by my question, but your ethnicity may help me in answering your question. There are groups that deal with issues like this for certain ethnicity's only. I am part Native American and I have access to different groups then would someone of African American decent. If I don't know the whole story I can't help you fully.

Ooooh, the guy needs to be turned in to your Dean or Human Resources department. He's an idiot for having done that to you. Talk to some of your classmates to see if any of them are willing to back your version of what happened and go to the authorities. The guy should NOT be allowed to denigrate any of his students. Or anyone for that matter. He should stick to teaching and drop the heckling.

You should report him to the dean or chair of the department. If not for yourself, then for the other students he is probably making fun of. There is no room for racism in higher education. It should NEVER be tolerated.

There are pricks like that. do you comprehend why? because of the fact those profs manage pupils they actually do not care. specially circumstances they are exasperated by ability of scholars. that's why they provide the impact of being down on all people condescendingly. this is nothin own. besides they don't look to be probably super. Who cares approximately professors? do you think of they make distinction in the international? --besides the in call for ones who do technological know-how examine.(i did not advise to offend all of them, only those pricks). they are in place to yap around all day. they don't care what you think of of them. recover from it.
