Who allowed Zango to be put to my computer. Can you take it off?

My computer is so slow and I use my computer to write to my son and his family in Michigan. Please see if this can be taken off as my computer has very little space for all these games and things.

well since no one here can actually take it off your computer for you, I'll give you the solution....open your control panel (click start and select settings and the controlpanel) click on the add/remove programs icon, wait for it to populate, the click to uninstall any and all programs you don't want.....reboot and all is well.

Zango Search Assistant is Adware. It may have gotten on your computer via being bundled with other software you installed. Many freeware and shareware programs are supported by adware. If you remove the adware there is a distinct possibility that the program it was bundled with will cease to function which may cause more system instability. To safely remove Zango you will also have to remove the program it was bundled with.

It is also possible that you agreed to have it added to your browser by simply click yes on a pop-up at some point on the internet.

I suggest you get download a free spyware removal tool. One such tool is AdAwareSE created by Lavasoft. Adaware comes in free and paid versions. Another is Windows Defender created by Microsoft.

Also you should consider searching google for tips or tutorials for removing Zango.

Unfortunately, Zango is notorious for distributing adware, software which bombards your computer with ads. Recently, Zango was successfully sued by the federal government and order to pay a fine of $3 million dollars. However, I am sure this is of little comfort to you. Thankfully, there are tools to remove Zango's adware.

There are several excellent free antispyware/ anti adware software programs available. Go to (http://www.filehippo.com/software/antispyware/); the site has a good list of several free antispyware software. I recommend you download and install at least Spybot Search & Destroy and Lavasoft's Ad Aware. Unlike antivirus software, you can install more than one antispyware software without any problems, just be sure only to scan with one at a time. You will need some instructions on how to use them. The malwarehelp.org website has several thorough tutorials on how to use these programs.

The best way is either install the Yahoo toolbar with anti-spy or install windows defender.
Pick one or both. Anti-spyware programs aren't all the same.Some scan more files then the other so i suggest you get both. (Links for download at sources section)
