Take an 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper and cut the last .5 inch off the end (you'll end up with a piece of scrap that is .5 inch by 11 inches).

Next cut two piece of construction paper 1.5 inches by 11 inches and glue them to the top and bottom of the white sheet. Next cut out 6 pieces of blue construction paper about .5 inches wide and you'll have to eyeball the length because you'll use them to make the Star of David and the top and bottom points of that star have to leave about a quarter inch between the tip of the star and the blue stripe across the top and bottom of the flag.

Trim the ends of the six pieces of construction paper so that when you make the star the points actually come to points and glue the star spaced evenly top to bottom and left to right (put it in the center of the flag.
