To begin, you need some cables so that you can connect your sterol system to your computer.
That would be either a phone plug or a mini plug (the size that goes into your headphone jack) or two RCA plugs that go into your stereo output jacks and a mini plug to go into your computer.
The mini plug goes into the back of your computer into the line in jack (mine is colored blue).
The phone plug or the RCA plugs go into your stereo. If you have a right and left output the RCA plugs will go into them; if you don’t have that output, you can plug the phone jack into the jack where your headphones go.
Then you’ll need some software to transfer the sound to your PC, Spin it again gives you three free trials before you have to buy the software and good tutorials http://www.acoustica.com/spinitagain/
Worldstart.com has a very reasonable program http://snipurl.com/11z4d
I am sure there are lots more out there.
Lastly, you need a CD burner (one comes with windows) to burn your recordings on a CDROM.
Good luck!
