When my son was a baby my truck ran out of gas on the interstate.A semi pulled over & offered aride, gasoline ,&a ride back to my truck. I told this man I have no money ,I dont trust you ,I will walk. He said surely you & your baby will never make it.I will not harm you or your child. He helped us into his truck ,went out of his way to get a gas can & gas.Turned around to take us back to my truck & put gas into it. I try & repay whenever I can.YES A TOTAL STRANGER WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP ME.

when u ask this question one particular incident comes to mind. a man tried to help me pump my gas and i smelled alcohol on his breath and cloths. he looked at thou he hadn't took a bath in days. I'm so generous and trusting by nature but this man just turned me the wrong way. he was pushy and desperate. i just turned into this ***** of a person that i didnt even know. i hit his hand and took the pump away from him and told him to stop. i gave him a bad look and told him to just leave. i dont know what came over me. i was ashamed of myself a few miles down the road. i never treated anyone so bad before or after that. i just dont know what actually happened that time or what came over me.
i have plenty of stories of how i have helped tons of strangers but this perticular one just haunts me when i think of helping strangers.
