The guy is correct. How many thousands of Christians were burned to death in the name of Prince of Peace? John Calvin alone burned 283, many women whom he beleived to be witches, and many intellectuals who had the timerity to disagree with him and his crazy predestinarianism. Before calling the questioner stupid do a bit of self-assesment for IQ. If you wish to be a Christian, it would behoove you find out something more that Amen about it.

I see where you're coming from, I really do. A lot of horrible things have been done in the name of religion. However, isn't it just like man (not men, but mankind) to twist everything, even things which are supposed to be beautiful?
Take sex for instance. Sex is a beautiful, sacred thing...and yet so much has been done over the years to cheapen it. Does that make sex in itself evil? Of course not.
What about alcohol? Marijuana? Knowledge?
All of these things have been abused because we, as humans, are inherently imperfect.
What I'm saying is, Christ's message is perfect. It's HUMANS that distort it.
I don't know about Judaism or Islam...let me get back to you after I finish the Koran, and I've studied Judaism more extensively.
But I don't think ANY religion is evil...except satanism.

It is not the religions that are causing the problems it is the people who interpret the religions to push their own agenda that are the problem. There are many followers of the Abrahamic religions that are peaceful and want nothing to do with war and terrorism. Religion can be a wonderful thing, unfortunately people do things in the name of religion that really have nothing to do with religion.

Killing in the name of God is like Fighting in the name of peace! Religion has been blamed too often for things that we do just because we want to do it. Even if a voice tells me to do something , do I not have the right to choose or ask questions?
Religion is not the one doing the killing and therefore not the one to blame.

Islam is not a Mosaic religion.
Religion has also made hope, Charity and love in the hearts of man and with out religion we would not have any of the three.
Many of the wars you so love to pint to were not truly about any God but cold hard cash and power.

You're right on there. But people have been controlled by one kind of religion, or another for thousands of years. At this point , I almost think it's inbred into a lot of people.

Yes it is.
These three religions that you mention have caused more atrocities and genocide in the world than any other that I can think of.
