I'm older'n dirt, and thought the feelings they evoke, as I listen to their sensual voices, was long gone in the past. Alone or in the group, I'm carried along in a dream of my youth, as their voices stir me! I liked Frankie in his day, but this is a whole other grown up kind of love I will share with my older'n dirt husband!

My yahoo address is "johngarfield," but I am a female. If you are older than dirt, you probably already know that John Garfield was one of those "old-time" movie actors. But then, how old is "older than dirt?" I am 55 and have been crazy for IL DIVO for over a year now. I think the majority of the I.D. fans are older, although they do draw fans of all ages, from little kids to 80 year olds. They are awesome. Have you been to their website, ildivo.com It is a great site. Every once in a while, they (the guys from Il Divo) drop a line. Sebastien (the Frenchman, especially, likes to drop in). The website is super and so many of us who have signed on as members have become friends. I have seen Il Divo perform three times. Atlantic City, NJ. Tampa, Fla. and with Barbra Streisand in Philly. They really have the most beautiful voices, are so handsome, and they truly love their fans. They have a new CD coming out at the end of the month, called "Siempre" and also a DVD coming out either in November or December from their recent world tour. If you haven't gotten their first CD, just called "IL DIVO," it is the best. Their second CD, called "ANCORA" is great, too. The third one will be fantastic. Would love to hear from you. I'm old dirt, also....and their singing takes me to a whole different time & place! Have tried to figure out my fascination, but basically its how can such good looking and classy young men can have such powerful voices and it sounds like music - not like some of the "stuff" that is out there. And also, the story of how they came to be - they had no idea whatever - just 2 years ago - what was about to hit them. They never dreamed the pathway their lives would take. And they are humble about it!! It's fascinating!! It's about time some quality singing got some recognition.
I was able to see them in concert twice over the past year. They are absolutely awesome!!

Yes, yes, and yes! There is simply something about their voices that can literally bring me to tears. As a thirty-something year old, I'd like to think that I have an appreciation for all genres of music, but ever since I first saw them appear on "Oprah," I fell in L-O-V-E! Okay, yes they DO look scrumptious, that's no surprise, and if you haven't already, DO try and see them perform live. I have seen them twice in concert and in Concord, CA, I was lucky enough to get close to the stage and shake hands with Urs and David....*sigh*. While I am a "SIREN" through and through, it was a night I'll never forget!
If you think that you are the only "young at heart" fan out there, you're VERY WRONG! If you haven't had a chance, check out www.ildivo.com and check out the forum...you'll meet so many others who share OUR love for these guys, their wonderful talents, and music.
Also, just curious....where do you live? There are fans all across the U.S. and abroad, but if you'd somehow like to hook up with some other divas, I'm sure it's possible. Enjoy your day...and so very glad that you LOVE them as much as I do!

I am not fond of them, but my mom enjoys listening to them.
