Is this a joke? Other than native Americans, who were legally prevented from having any say in the running of our nation, everybody who lived here and who was involved in founding this nation were immigrants. If the rules of today were in effect back then, they would have been illegal immigrants as well.

They knew it would be overrun by criminals and crooks (called Politicians)!

The people who came here were not 'illegals' but simple working folks who were tired of being oppressed by the ruling class of England. Basely the Land lords, King and the Rome Catholic Church. Same people that are in control of the Planet today were in control of it then.

Don't know if you are aware but EVERYONE in the US is an illegal from another land. You are an nation of immigrants and your expanision was based on mass geneocide.

Actualy since the governement was founded by uninvited guests I sort of wish my sncestors would of had tougher immigration policies, and the arms to enforce them! American indian and proud

Most of our ancestors got here illegally and then wiped out the existing population.
Maybe we should ask them if illegals are welcome.
