if you were finding black holes in your husbands socks then i would be very surprised as the gravitational pull exerted by them would suck up the entire planet .
Question: if your husband wore red socks would they be red holes?

You did not state where the holes were in his socks. Often the holes come from the way that they walk. My husband always gets holes in the heel and when we were at the foot doctor I was teasing him and this is what the doc told us.

It's the hard skin on the feet that rubs the sock material away. Also, mens toenails have the habit of wearing their socks away on the toe area.

It could be the length of time he has between baths or his toe nails need cutting, socks just ain't what they used to be.

Get him to do the laundry and darn them too . You go out to the pub with your friends while he pairs them up and mends them!
