This repair could take about 8 hours. The price sounds a bit high so I would shop around, however, I should keep in mind that pricing varies depending on where you live. Good Luck!

PRICE IS A LITTLE HIGH. TRANSMISSION MUST BE REMOVED NOT SURE WHAT BOOK TIME IS 7 TO 10 HOURS. WHAT IS THE LABOR RATE? NOTE: BE SURE THE OIL LEAK IS COMING FROM MAIN SEAL. I THINK THAT ENGINE HAS A OIL PUMP DRIVE THAT IS LOCATED ON TOP OF ENGINE WHERE TRANSMISSION BOLTS TO ENGINE BLOCK. SEAL ON PUMP DRIVE IS VERY BAD ABOUT LEAKING - RUNS DOWN BOTTOM SIDE OF ENGINE. LOOKS LIKE MAIN SEAL LEAK.

That would sound about right. Good luck. Shop around though, to see if you can get it a bit cheaper, but I highly doubt it. Reason being, is the engine, or tranny has to be pulled, to get to that seal there. Good luck.

Yes, that can develop into a major oil leak that just bleeds oil. It should take about a day in the shop.
