I believe LG is part of GE brand? Regardless, it comes down to capacity, which is larger?

We've learned the hard way....it may be worth taking to a laundreymat that has larger washers (and dryers). Too small capacity means it's not getting clean and is likely to wrinkle.

Good luck...

I have the samsung silver ion washer and dryer...I love them. Not only has my water bill gone down but so has my gas bill. The clothes are dryer when you take them out of the washer, therefor, they require less drying time. Also, I have gone from 7-10 loads a week to maybe three if I am lucky . The capacity is much more significant in the front loaders. I also use less detergent.

The one thing I am not fond of is the silver ion technology. It is meant to sanitize your clothes using cold water and silver ions that are stripped from a silver plate inside the washer. The few times I have used it, specifically on my white clothes, I have noticed as soon as the towels get damo ie: using them after the shower, they smell musty. This tells me that the bacteria is not being destroyed during the wash cyccle

But, all in all, I would rate the samsung very high

good luck

I have a large size drum in my washing machine but would never put a double duvet in , not to talk about a king size. The item has to have room to tumble or it wont be washed properly. They say to not fill more than 2 thirds full. I bring mine to the laundrette and get it bleached , washed and dried for little money.

Sears came out with one like you find in a laundry mat and you can get more than a king size comforter in it. I don't know about the others I have a LG maytag and I can't get my comforter in it.
