I think its just appalling.
And my first thought was identical to the user above me.
The dems are going to try to impeach Bush out of revenge for Clinton, and Germany trying our military brass out of revenge for Nuremburg.
Nice world.

Rumsfeld's resignation, they say, potential that the former protection Secretary will lose the criminal immunity oftentimes accorded intense government officers."

I think Germany do have a point considering all the
innocent men and women still held in prison without
trial. Is the United States above the law because its
the mightiest Nation on earth from the military and
economic point of view, if so, I rest my case.
I would stress that the above comments are my own
personal point of view and do not represent any government or parties whatsoever. Also, it does not
imply that Saddam is not guilty or otherwise.
What it comes down to is whether all the killings, torture
and crimes against humanity carried out by both leaders of both nations justifiable or not. In my books, all
suspects however hideous the crimes are innocent until
proven guilty. Please accept my apologies should some
of my comments offended you.

I would hope that the entire Bush administration (including but not limited to Dubya, Cheney, Rummy, Rice, Wolfowitz, Alberto Gonzalez, Ashcroft, Rove, Card and Libby) will be indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity at the end of the term. If trials like the 1945 Nuremburg war crime trials were held, the people I've listed above would all swing by their necks, for good reason.
I think that for a single nation such as Germany to bring charges is not nearly good enough. It needs to be a worldwide body such as the World Court or the UN committee on war crimes and crimes against humanity. Otherwise they could avoid punishment by not visiting the countries in which they are indicted.
Germany's got a rootin', tootin' good idea though.

BLAME CANADA !! BLAME BUSH !!
When will the nonsense end?
Germany will get nowhere on this. Speaking of losing friends in the world community. . . .Germany is second to France in that category.

The Germans are always trying to do something that will give them a little recognition, no matter how stupid it is.
