4 sharp sand, 1 Portland cement - mix dry then mix in just sufficient water so a handful will just stay together when squeezed.

yep i agree with paul h,thats what i do im a plasterer iv done floor screeds,4sharp sand,1 cement if ur gonna do it urself u should think about geting some knee pads or something for when u float it or rub it up coz it burnes ur skin abit nothing to worry about just a pain in the ****!good luck.....

Dry mix the sand and cement first then make a hole in the centre of the pile and add water then mix together until it is a workable consistency

use a paddle mixer with a 1/2 inch drill. also mix per directions on product it will seem too dry but as yoy shape it the water will come to the surface. it's just that easy
