This is simple.
CP = 8000 for 10
= 800 for 1
The profit equals the selling price?
This can't be possible as profit is the difference between the selling price and the cost price.
How much ever each machine is sold for, if you subtract the CP from the SP, profit can never equal SP.

He paid 8000 for 10 machines so he paid 800 for 1 machine. In order to make a profit he must sell the machines for more than he paid. So selling price of each machine must be greater than Rs 800. It can be any number you like > 800, unless you put some other restriction on the selling price.

There is some inconsistency in your problem - its an impossibility
The question must have been - at a profit equal to purchase price, he has to simple sell at double the purchase price.
