how to be a specialist?

i am an international student in US. i would like to know the path of becoming a doctor in this country. i am now in college for my first semester. please tell me and explain it to me. and include how long i will need to finish each step?

Usually four years to get bachelor's degree another four years in medical school for a M.D followed by a residency which depending upon the chosen field involve an additional two to seven years of training after obtaining the M.D.
