Just look at the products produced for the use in space NASA, air and space museum in Washington DC is full of these items that never made it into space and has changed the face of the world several times over!.
Microwaves is a huge and old one now!
Your HD tv. is that same thing.
Trust me the research on this project is much more fun than writing the paper for it. Go- have some fun.
