Doctors usually don't suggest taking the baby unless it is very necessary. I know it's a hard decision but if the baby is in more danger inside then it might be best to go ahead and let them take the baby. Good luck hun.

Your baby could be slighty bigger. I had mine at 34 weeks and the ultrasound said around 4 pounds and he was born at 5.2. The baby is probably going to do fine, but try to wait it out one more week. I have had high blood pressure with all 4 of my pregnancies. Im on my 4th pregnancy right now and my blood pressure is high, but Im only 20 weeks at the moment. They never did take my babies early. THe reason I had my 3rd baby at 34 weeks was because of premature rupture of the membranes. Yours is very high though. But he could give you bp medicine if he hasnt already, and you should just be on bed rest. If the doctor is leaving the decision to you, then try and wait the other week or 2 at the most, then when the baby is 37 which is considered full term, the baby wil be fine. But let me say at 34 weeks and 5.2 pounds, my son and I went home 2 days later. Everything was perfect.

Your docter has years and years of schooling followed by more years of training and experience. If they think that this is the way you should go why are you asking a bunch of strangers who may have little or no knowledge about the problem. Just go and do what your Dr. suggests, from my limited training I can say that 35 weeks is fine and your body is starting to have problems so you need to go and have your baby now. Good luck though the hard part is just arriving :)

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

my bp is high almost everytime I see my doctor but after they watch it for an hour or so it seems to go back down, you should speak to your doctor about if it would be possible to hold off for two more weeks cuz 37 weeks is considered full term....but if not here is a little something to make you feel a little better....when I was pregnant with my daughter my water broke at 35 weeks and the doctors told me she would be just barely 4 pounds and small ...well i had her and she was almost 6 pounds sometimes they are not 100% accurate on what the baby's size will be.

I had the same problem with my first baby. I had really high bp, luckily I was at a birthing center with midwives and they taught me how to control my bp with diet. I cut almost all carbs and sugar and ate a lot of protein. I went full term and had a natural birth with a VERY healthy baby. 9lbs worth of healthy! But listen to your dr. and don't be afraid to voice your opinion. Research online alternatives and see what he says. You have to advocate for your baby and your health.

Sounds like pre-eclampsia. I had it. My son was born at 37 weeks. My liver swelled and started leaking, it almost burst. My aunt had fluid gather around her heart when it happened to her. We both almost died. If your doctor suggest taking the baby, it would probably be best.
You can try laying on your left side. That lowers your blood pressure.

Your blood pressure is through the roof! You could have a stroke. If you are in distress, the baby's health is compromised also. Best of luck to you.

a few days ago I asked the same thing for my niece 38 week pregnent.doctors say the same for her in U K.......but my sis asked doctors to control BP.
unless there is no danger to Mom and baby it is better to wait.'her bp is now controlled but she is under observation in hospital.
so try that ...if you can wait ......or let your doctor decide.

This is a good site that describes preeclampsia. If your Dr thinks that you should deliver the baby, then he/she is probably right. It can be very dangerous to you and the baby. I wish you & your baby the very best!!!!!!!
