Not liste among items that can be removed.
Have managed to get rid of the Yahoo logo, but am left with an empty white box.

go to add and remove and scrol down till you find what you want then remove.

simply point your mouse's pointer onto the icon, hold your left hand click button, then drag it onto the trash bin folder; release; you'll be prompted that the icon will be deleted from your desktop. then empty your trash bin to rid of the Y! icon ;-)

You had enabled the active desktop.

The option to disable It is in the display properties.

Run the following fix to disable the active desktop.

point over icon with cursor right click then click delete to send to recycle bin

go to add/remove programs from your contrl panel and remove "yahoo desktop", then be sure to restart your computer.

Rename it, Change the icon, or wait.........deleting it might work too!!!
