can I block that person from knowing that I'm online, while at the same time I chat with the others??

Right click with mouse on the name of the person you dont want him to see you on line and chose block. But if your freind is internet professional, i must warn you. There is a Msn site which shows who is blocked or deleted from others msn messanger.. Isnt that imbaressing :-))))

There are 2 things you can do:

1) Block the person. You can still see if they are online, etc., but they think you never come online. It doesn't send them a message saying you blocked them.

2) Put your status as "appear offline." It looks like you are offline to everyone, but you can initiate conversations with whomever you want to talk to.

If you go into personal settings then into privacy you can block whoever you don't want to talk to then keep who you do want to talk to & you can select or de-slect people at any time.

YES YOU CAN BLOCK ANYONE

and if you want to talk to them, Just Unblock them

yes u can do that..jz left click on that person's nicknaem then click block..u can unblock the same way too

yes if you block them they cannot communicate with you and the others still can

you can block them.

and then if you want to talk to them again.

unblock them.
