Absolutely. When teh fertilized egg implants in the lining fo the uterus, it causes some spotting which is know as Implantation bleeding. Implanation bleeding is similar to a period, but it is usually lighter and shorter than your normal period.
Some women also experiece their normal periods for the first few months of pregnancy. With my first pregnancy, i still got my period until i was 3 months pregnant. But that shouldnt affect the results of the pregnancy test. Typically, a home pregnancy test can determine a positive pregnancy 12-16 days after conception. So wait 12-14 days from the day you think you might have gotten pregnant and take a test, even if you get your period.

Ovulation takes place on average 14 days before the start of the next period and conception can only happen during ovulation. The fertilized egg implants in the uterus about 10 days after conception and this can sometimes cause light spotting--known as implantation spotting--and some women mistake this for their period.

I suppose you could have had more than one egg release. From what I've heard, the light period could be implantation bleeding, and not a regular period.
Did you see that story a few weeks ago about the woman who had an ovarian disorder and had periods throughout her pregancy, so she had no idea she was pregnant? If that can happen, I bet anything can.

Yes YES YES, my mom had her period 3 month when she was pregnant w/ me. It depend on the person and their hormone levels, it's rare, but very very very possible. That's a mistake most women make.
