Theoretically, any verb that ends in "ate" can also be given a "tion" ending, which turns it into a noun and denotes it as "the act of" the verb it was previously.

For example:

ruminate: (v) - to meditate or muse; ponder.
rumination: (n) - the act of meditating or pondering.

There's also:
defecation
masturbation
hesitation
inspiration
complication
simplification
designation
amplification
implication

...and many, many more.

Words that are already nouns, such as "station" and "nation" don't fall into this category; "station" is not the act of "stating," for example. It only works with most "ate" verbs.
