Every time we just get away with our inefficient system by blaming just politicians. The real problem is with our democracy and not with our politicians. Who said we are not hard working?.We have no.1 intelligent work force in the world and we have all the potential to make our India 10 times better than present super power countries. Just think what is stopping us. In the false name of democracy we are fooling our selves. You can see the situation in Mumbai where whole lot of beggars in the country are flocked in the airport road with lot of slums. You blame our politicians. But maharashtra CM took initiative to remove and shift these slums elsewhere so that our country's image can be maintained. Everyone who just land from western countries have first vision of India at the airport road and those people take us for granted. Now let me tell you what happened after that. There were lot of cues and cries from human right organisation, media , NGO and what not supporting the slum dwellers. In the democracy we have lot of problem in implementing the things efficiently.
Let us take a hypothetical case .
If we want to build beautiful highway in India with 8 lanes same as in New york or Washington DC what will happen in India?
Environmentalists will started crying deserting vast lands will result in cutting of trees , then reduction in rain etc.,
What those people who have to vacate houses (Though most of them are illegal only)to implement highway project will do ? They will hold demonstration and will move the case to court and will challenge the might of the government with the power of so called democracy!!!!
What will Communist(India) claim is that there is plot of international community to hinder our progress by arousing so many people to insurgency.
Next day Opposition will claim resignation of CM because so many people are pushed to vacate their houses.
Also there is no unity among Indians. If TamilNadu state ask for Cauvery water for TN agriculture Karnataka state refuses to give as if TN is another neighbour country.
There is no Single national leader in our country who have support of 1 billion people. All leaders enjoy influence only in their home state. Nobody know them out side their home state.
There is no understanding between each states in India. They act like as if collection of small small individual countries and Govt of India behaves like Indian Union sounds similar with European union.
In order for India to become super power linking of river gaunges with river cauvery is very important. For that we may need support of all the concerned states in India and huge fund to implement that.
We have lot of inefficiency with our democracy and simply the system which produces irresponsible people and corrupt politicians. So we to focus on making a good democracy and system instead of blaming polticians.
Thank you very much for asking good question which will force every Indian to think.

Yes, of course hard work can change India. Though, it doesn't mean that we are not hard working right now. We are hard working, if it was not for our hard work we could have never been able to get nuclear technology and acheive other things in various fields which we did on our own. Politics will always be there. We have to live with it. We should also trust our government as a whole but not the politicians. If there was a conference of all the politicians held, the uneducated and backward's views will not be considered and it would be the open minded politicians whose view would be incrporated, but in the end he/she will still be a politician. Things are changing but one thing is for sure, that India won't become a dreamland overnight. No country did, be it US or other former world super powers.
First thing we need to do to become a dreamland is educate people and ( current litreacy rates are male: 70.2%
female: 48.3% (2003 est.) source: CIA world factbook ) and when that becomes 99.9% for both will everything follow as people will make more thoughtful election choices and will be more open minded. As soon as that happens we will be on an accelerated growth path to become a land of our dreams.

Not until India dumps its Religions!
Religion simply control everything and everyones lives here! The 'Moon Clock' controls everyones life down to the minute they can eat, sleep, marry, shi t, do business or any other type of activity. It is to a point of ABSURDITY here. This is why the international community does not wish to invest their money here. Plus this country is a country of 'beggers and bums' (and the biggest bums are the very rich) and out of 1.25 billion people you will be lucky to find 1000 honest people. They simply do not know what 'Honesty' Is. Another thing people do not realize about India is they are not POOR! They simply do not spend their money on material things.... which also means they do not spend money on improving their country. I adventure to say there is more Gold in India than in any country on the planet and every person has some or a whole lot. Do you have any gold.... I did not think so! NOTHING IN INDIA 'IS' AS IT APPEARS!

Well, simply put he was a dutiful son. What does that have to do with it? We do not know when Joseph left the picture nor do we know if it was due to death or loss of faith. But, Jesus as the oldest son would have been expected to provide for the family until his thirtieth birthday. Then his duty would be fulfilled and he could pursue his own path. I cannot remember where I heard this, but the person telling us this said it was something to do with Jewish culture. So, perhaps a Rabbi could verify the practice. Jesus could have started his ministry are any time and yet he waited until thirty. Besides if Jesus were to go walk about it would more likely have been Egypt or Rome not the far East. Just because his teaching resemble that of the East means nothing and if it means something it would be that the East come close to the right path but falls short. As with all things it is easier to keep people from the right way by giving them something that is a pale reflection of the truth.

Nothing is impossible, rather it can be safely said that impossible is the word found in the dictionary of fools.
Hard work can change each and every thing. But the basic thing is literacy it can be eliminated in days, you can not stop illiterate people being be fooled. not only illiterate but literate people are also being be fooled on the strength of illiterate and religion based politics. This is being done for personal ends.
Think what you want to do and for whom...........how will be a distant dream.

Yes, we can! but we must ready to sacrifice for making a breaking. The odds may give an opportunity to make ourselves tough faster. Politicians can not be blamed for our failed society but we ourselves are responsible for that. How many of us with non-political background opt for politics as full time profession? thieves are not responsible for theft when the master sleeps with isolated ears and blind eyes.

Hard work should make a lot of difference.

As long as politicians are governed by different set of rules, and so long as criminals, dacoits and murders are allowed to stand for election and win all hard work will be waste.

well if that has anything to do with cricket then no!
They cant even play a game without cheating! ie: ball tampering.
I mean why must everyone cheat, lie, steal even to win whats called a game?!
Imagine how the life and politics must run if this is what they do in sport!
