While using yahoo messenger, can the person you are talking too hack into your computer?

While talking to a person on my yahoo messenger the screen seemed to flicker and it got real slow at one moment.

it depends on how much info you have given them, email that is not on the server but your out look etc.

yes and no
Yes if you have sharing turned on and you are silly enough to share the desktop with the person you are "talking" to
and No its and instant messenger.

Anybody can hack into your computer if they are smart enough!
