I am now 12 days late for my period. I have had small cramps and keep thinking I have my period, but alas there is nothing. What could cause my period to be delayed like this?
My last two periods were on time. I have never been this late before.
I am also married.

I took a test 4 days ago but it was negative.

have you considered that you might be pregnant? if that is not a possibility then you might be overstressed that can sometimes caused delayed periods but if that is not an option either i would go see your gyno.

you might be pregnant...is this your first time to have an irregular period? i also get irregular periods at times. i'd have cramps like you and by the next week my period comes. i notice this when i don't get adequate sleep, improper eating habits, stress of all sort. try to chek, if your contraceptive is still working...

If you are married, and doing the sex thing, I would suggest that you go in for a pregnancy test, or do one at home...Those are classic signs...

if you're on birth control and you stopped it, you might not get your period, but it could also mean that you're pregnant..
