misery is making me nostalgic

The very first date my husband and I went on he took me fishing, needless to say I out fished him and he took me back to the same spot 4 months later and proposed to me. We have been married 10 years and every year on our anniversary we go back to that same fishing hole and fish and well....you know :)

I took my son about 2 or 3 months ago. I didn't fish because I didn't get a license this year. Last time I fished was August 2005 when we went on his birthday.
Got skunked, but then I didn't have to clean them.

I went in the last week of August, with a friend and my dad. My friend had "lost her touch" shall we say, and kept hitching ME with her hook (when she wasn't casting into the reeds or tangling our flies lol). Moral of the story, we didn't catch squat, and I got 5 million black fly bites.
Oh, Yeah! We did scare a couple of ducks! We would have to raise our line out of the water so they wouldn't get caught, and then we would drop it on their backs and watch them take off.... Good Times, Good Times...

Last time I went fishing was with a friend about a month ago and I caught a Walleye and a couple Sunnys.

I only went fishing once- it was at night on the Cape Fear river, mosquitos were biting and that was ok but then bats came out and were flying all around, I about fell out the boat screaming. I think I wouldn't mind trying again but it would have to be daytime.

I went fishing about 25 years ago and caught the same blue gill three times, he was too small and I could see the little hook holes in his face. I was with my dad.

I guess about 15 years ago, my first and only time i went fishing. i was quite young and i went with my uncle and my cousins. it was quite funny cos everybody managed to catch at least one fish but i got things like lobster and crab instead. i did not caught a single fish.

About twenty years ago with my grandfather every weekend on Silver Lake, Indiana. We caught Bluegill. Ah, those were the good old days! Good question! :)

i went fishing about 2 years ago. the only thing i caught was the back of my dad's shirt with the fishing hook! oops!
