It definitely takes some getting used to. I don't live in a big city, so I am overwhelmed by the traffic, and could never drive in India. For city people, it may be normal.

I spent 6 months around India, and thought t was crazy at first, but after a while I got used to it, it sems crazy (and noisy)due to the sounding of vehicle horns, but other that that it wasn't to bad. At least the traffic always seems to move, unlike in parts of the UK, where the motorways can come to a standstill for some time

i think it a chaotic mess, there does not seem to be any rules on how people drive in India, i drive myself. but i would be too scared to take to the roads in India. i guess you all know what you are doing but the sound of millions of horns tooting away is horrendous, here we use indicators, it is actually illegal to sound your horn except for emergencies. also i find it quite scary that you are allowed to drive a bike with no safety helmet, even scarier, is when you see the wife and kids riding unprotected too.

I lived in India for 18 years and it wasnt bad at that time now after having lived abroad i am scared to step out of the door for fear of being run over. there is no discipline and people do not use indicators oly thousands of horns blaring away. autos weaving in and out. ohhhh list goes on and on
