To them , they are not misusing it. In fact, they make Allah as the reason for their acts. They don't call themselves terrorists. It' s the other way around. We are the "infidels" -unfaithfuls. Their non tolerance of other faith has driven them to act as they do. Not all of them are "fanatics", just as not all of the other beliefs are perfect nor bad.

Thats a tricky question !! Do you think man is anyway misusing the name of any/all God? There is undoubtedly a mad rush to find solutions, and God is turning into a commodity as well. With that comes the complex twist of terrorism..also caused by the same human needs! and God/Allah becomes the excuse for such a gratification.

I would like to answer this question in the context of a wider question : Is the meaning of the scriptures being misinterpretted by terrorists? My answer is "yes".
In the modern times the scriptures are available to all. But it needs mental training and discipline to grasp the sublimity of their meaning. The minds of terrorists and their leaders are extremely violent or agressive. As a result they understand many of the religious ideas in a way which justifies their terrible acts which repel the cultivated mankind.

hi priya.i am amuslim.i hav read ur question n agree completely that "Allah"word is misused by terrosist.but the thing which i want to b clear that now a days terrosists cal themselves to b jihadi which actually is a holy war.but it must not b in this way.our holy quran strictly explains the various ways of jihad in its actual sense.jihad not only means a holy war but it literally means a war against bad deeds.it is a war against ones nappaaak qwahish i.e durachaar.it might b a war against baad n vulgar wishes that develops in ones heart.many non muslims r in this misinformation that it means a war against the people .they think that this is the way of spreading islam.
but there r many ways of spreading islam not only jihad but a true muslim can spread islam by explaining wat actually islam is .by setting themselves as an example which i agree that some of them r not.I would like to conclude by assuring u that islam is areligion of peace not terrorism.

its the belief of their religion that their destroying.. coz allah wont even want war he wanted peace.
in the name of terrorism,,, they bring forth islam to the world.
