I don't want to scare you but you should go directly to the hospital and tell them what is happening, especially since the leaking hasn't stopped, or has restarted.
The fluid with the pink in it could have been your "show" or mucus plug, which often comes along before your waters actually break. But I am not a qualified health professional, so please get this checked out properly.
If you can... try to wear a pad to keep a sample for them to view. However it does sound like your water has broken and you may go into active labour any moment now.
So pack a bag (if it isn't already) and head for the hospital. Better to get it checked out to save you and your baby any unnesseccary stress.
Good luck with your birth, hope that it all goes well.

I wouldn't play around with something like this. Especially over the weekend. If you think it broke, you need to call your Dr. office again and go to the hospital. Once your water breaks, it's important to deliver the baby - they need the amniotic fluid to be OK. If the Dr. determines that your water broke, they will have to induce your labor. It happened to a friend of mine - nothing scary, but they can't risk infection or lack of amniotic fluid once your water breaks.
Good luck!

What are your birthing arrangements? Call whoever is going to deliver your baby and tell them.
Your doctor is an idiot.
Get off this computer and go call. The pink sounds like the show of colour and yes I would say your waters have broken. They don't always go in one big rush, sometimes its like a slow leak - as in your case.
ADDITIONAL: If that doctor was going to deliver your baby - change your mind now and just contact the local maternity hospital and ask to speak to a midwife.

i had 4children and this never happened to me but it could be nothing and it could be something. to me it sounds like amniotic fluid but i am not a dr. if it were me though and i was 39 weeks pregnant i would be getting my **** back into the dr. right now. trust me when i tell you that your dr. doesn't always know best it is your body and your baby. you need to do what you feel is necessary.

It sounds like it might be amniotic fluid. If you think your doc is wrong you can go to the maturnity ward at your hospital to get a second opinion.

That happened to me my first pregnancy, its was the water bag leaking. My MD told me to meet him at the hospital, and when he checked me the rest of the water bag burst. I know you do not want to have a dry birth, it can cause problems. Call the MD back and ask why-or have your husband. Good Luck!

I presume that you only gone to see one doctor. In any health cases which you doubt the capability of doctor, always do not hesitate to look for another doctor. its always best to get a 2nd opinion.
