I do not have any periods because of being on it a yr in december 2006, could this mean that i would have to wait to be able to go on any other contraceptive til i have a period again or could i go straight on something else???

Speak to your doctor I was in the same predicument and they just gave me the pill but some are okand some you'll need to wait you need to speak with a proffessional

Generally you can go right on to another form of contraception 3 months after your last depo shot (i.e., when it stops protecting you against pregnancy). It takes quite a while for the shot to get fully out of your system. Your doctor, who you will have to see anyway before you get new prescription birth control, will be able to advise you on what type to choose.
