take it out otherwise you are constantly running a charge through it after it's full which can shorten it's life and plus the heat generated wont aid the fans in cooling the laptop down either!! ps: if DJ2 works in electronics then i've got a full head of hair!!!

Leave it in unless you don't care about losing your data when the power goes off. I am an american living in India and this country has yet to figure out how to keep the electricity flowing. Everyone here has a back up power supply for their desktop computers. That is one of the best features of a laptop. No extra power supply is need. It is important from time to time to use the battery and run it down to 10-20 % and then recharge it. Read your manual.

Leave the battery in. I work in electronics. It will not keep on charging
When it gets to full charge (100%) it stops. Then when you go back on battery it will start working again. Keep it in.

if you use your computer away from home without the ac, leave it in so it can recharge. other than that, i don't think it makes any difference. i just leave my battery in at all times, because i'm afraid i'll misplace it.
