Go with it ! Just open up and talk there is no reason to be shy! Just ask do not put yourself through all this stress. If she says no then at least you will know and can move one to another relationship

you should ask your friend if he wants you 2 talk to her for you and if he says yes then be a good m8 and ask out the girl for him.

let's him to talk with that girls event he are 14 years, let him to see thing about life and to see how it is to be in love.If he needs help, help it, but only if he really is in troubles
