Can anyone recommend a good free website or websites that have puzzles or teambuilding exercises for use in a factory environment when things are quiet. Things that can be done either on a white board / paper etc and don't take too long.

This is my favorite. I think it might work well in a factory, provided you have enough clear space.

You need the same number of chairs as there are people. One person is "It." Everyone else sits on a chair (one will be empty). The goal is to keep the "It" person from sitting down -- "It" rushes to the empty one, but hopefully someone else has gotten to it first. So "It" tries again.

The great thing is that an effective strategy of movement can be found, but it definitely requires team work. This exercise did more to actually bring us together than all of the paper-pencil things we tried. (P.S. It helps if the "It" person has a good sense of humor and confidence, since the goal is for "It" to lose. We started with one of the group leaders.)

There's something else which involves teams of three people, each of whom are holding a rubber band stretched out between their hands. The goal is to pick something up by working together. It was really tricky. If I can remember more of it, I'll edit back.

Write down some famous people on sticky labels. Everyone has to stick one on their foreheads without knowing the name. Others have to act out the name on your forehead and see if you can guess who it is.

Divide the group up, 6 sheep, 2 dogs. The groups discuss their plan to get the sheep into the pen with the aid of the dog
.Draw a pen on the floor, about 6*6, and leave one side open. Blind fold the sheep, a judge then moves the sheep around the room, then lets the dogs in.
Without speaking, the dogs have to make instructions by clapping, whistling, stamping and guide the sheep into a pen.
The judge marks the team down for effectiveness, participation and encouraging others to join in with the teams rules.

Here's one I have used before. It demonstrates the commonality of experience.

People cluster in a group. The first person gives a fact about themself that other people wouldn't know--like "I tried out for the Major Leagues" One person who has also done that thing goes and stands beside them and tells another fact. And so on and so on. If no one has done the thing, then the person says another thing. It can get pretty silly at the end.

We had to do this stuff at my old job and everyone HATED it. It was pointless. Although I suppose we did find something in common, since we all thought it was stupid.
