I'm just curious. I believed that an bug/ant flew into my mouth before I can stop it, long time ago-don't laugh, I'm serious-and is still there. Every once in awhile, I itch and feel legs, usually of one ant or bug. When does it die? Or how to kill it if possible to stop the itching.

It should be dead by now, the itchy feelings and legs thing, thats all part of your fear of it, its true. When ever at wasp or something as landed on me before and i ve swiped it off, after i feel like its on me. Well, enough with the life story, heres some information on how lomg do ants live....

Some ants can live a long time, while other ants have very short life spans. A species of worker ants in Africa only live for a few weeks, while one queen ant held in a German laboratory was 29 years old! Ants usually live in colonies. At the center of the colony is one or more queen ants -- these are females who lay eggs. Many smaller male ants work hard to feed and care for the queen. Not surprisingly, queens generally live longer than male worker ants. As I learned at a great site called ZoomSchool, ants usually live only 6 to 10 weeks!

Hope it helps your eating bug thing :)

ants live 45-60 days. if it has flown into your mouth it wont die instantly , that is why you are probably still feeling the itching, but it should soon die because the enzymes and amino acids in your body with poison it, There are two ways to kill ants. The first is to dehydrate them by laying out piles of instant grits ( a corn product usually located in the cereal section of the grocery store) at the point of entry and along their trail. They will think of the grits as a food source and consume the pellets. The grits will in turn absorb moisture from the ant's body, thus killing it (instant grits are specially formulated to absorb water more rapidly than regular grits, thus they are more effective). The second method to kill ants is to feed them a mixture of 1 part active dry yeast, 2 parts molasses, and 1 part sugar. They will be attracted to the sugar in the mixture and will eat it readily. Once consumed the yeast will produce gas in the ant, and because they can't expel the gas, it will kill them. i would try the second scheme, the one with the yeast as this wont be harmful to you . the first one wont be but i dont like the idea about the "grits" lol dont know why but the second one is good. if you didnt understand it, all you hav to do is mix one table spoon of yeast with one table spoon of sugar and pour it into half a glass of water. make sure you mix this all well. then drink it and hopefuly this should work. let me know if it does coz i hope you kill that bug.

Once a bug gets into a human body, it is able to live and reproduce indefinitely since the body is so warm and contains plenty of food.

If you actually swallowed it, it would be killed almost instantly by your digestive tract and the acidic fluid in it. The feeling that it is still there would be your subconscious responding to your fears and anxiety of having it fly in your mouth.
