You can definately get in unblocked, you can take it into the market or a mobile shop (just not shops like o2 or vodafone or fones 4 u or anything) The cost will vary, depending on how old the phone is, it usually ranges from around £10-£50 (just decide whether the phone is worth it) When they unblock it, you will still be able to use it on all networks, its not like the old days when you couldnt use it on a certain network afterwards, just be careful if you ever have to register a new sim card in it in the future, because they now ask for the IMEI number and if it has been registered stolen previously, you may have a problem. Good luck, and dont listen to all those judgemental know it alls. xx

I'm not sure you can if the phone has been blocked by the network. Places can do it but a lot ask for i.d and proof that the phone is yours. That's the whole point of the network blocking phones so thief's can't use them and get them easily unblocked. But i suppose if your honest and just say you found the phone you might find some one that can do it for you.
I believe you. The people who are saying you nicked it are only saying that cause that's what they would do.

If there no way of getting it back to the owner just go to a market and there will be someone there who can unlock it and change it so you can put any sim card in.
Ages ago i handed in a mini disc player, i told my freinds and they were going are you nuts they are worth loads!!! (i didnt have a clue what it was)
I feel better now that the mini disc player never worked out

the phone should have the wireless carriers logo on it contact them they will probably have you give them a SIM or serial number off of it (but wont help you unlock it, not saying anything about you but cellphones lock for a reason) they will either guide you to the person or they can arrange with you to drop the phone off at a local Police Dept. and then guide the owner to the PD.....Hope this helps

Hand it in to your local police station - it may have been reported stolen and will get back to the owner that way.
If it isn't claimed in six months, the police will give it to you.
This happened to a friend of mine who handed in a fifty pound note they found in the street - it was never claimed, so the police phoned them and said it's rightfully yours. A nice example of honesty being rewarded

if you really wanna give it back open it up, the sim will have the network name on it and the phone will have a serial number, call the relevant network and they can trace the owner.
bear in mind you will probably NOT be doing someone a favour as by now they will have a fancy new one on their insurance

Hand it in to your local police station and give them the problem. Explain how you got hold of the phone, they will try to get in touch with the owner. If t they do not collect in 4 weeks (I think) then you can claim it back and it is yours legally :)
It can be unblocked but that is illegal
