There probably would have been war during the 30s and 40s. It probably wouldn't have been a world war, but there probably would have been fighting between the US and Japan in the Pacific and between the USSR and other European countries as communism was expanding.
How it would all have turned out is beyond me.

If it had not been Hitler it would have been someone else. Europe was waiting for someone to take a strong lead and stir up racial hatred. With the depression and all the problems they faced it could have been any person with enough charisma who could have led Germany, or any ther european country, to take up arms.

Hm... Frankly, I think there would be somebody worse. He sort of prevented the future people from being like that because the authorities and society really did crack down on people who are even similar to Hitler...
