I'm not aware of too much happening with Japanese authorities after WWII - remember this was a time when many, dishonored, may have simply committed suicide rather than be publicly humiliated (the eastern views on such practices radically differing, historically from western ones). The German leaders who were captured, after the heinous atrocities the Allies found during the invasion, were publicly put on trial at the famous Nurnberg Trials. There many committed suicides, others got the death penalty, and a handful got life sentences.
