Also, no classification as pedophile. Why do you think the judge didn't give the usual 20-year-sentence and require registry as a pedophile?

Yes, I'm leaving something out that may have affected the judge's decision, but do you think there is anything that should affect the sentence in these cases? I don't want to add it now so as not to influence your opinion or presumptions. This afternoon, after 6 P.M., East Coast U.S. time, I will come back and add the other bit of info.

In calling for the death penalty, don't forget how many have been found to be innocent years later, as technology changed. I know of a case where the convicted man did die in prison. Five year later it was learned that he didn't do the things to his daughter, that it was the mother. When the 12-year-old girl found out her father had already been dead for five years when she could prove him innocent, she committed suicide.

Sorry, overslept from a long night last night in the taxi. The one missing item is the person is a woman who was convicted of sodomy on the girl. According to the American Psychiatric Assoc. 36% of child sexual abuse is committed by women, but most is not reported, especially by males, who can stillbe sued for child support of they get the woman pregnant.

Our entire justice system is screwed up...a woman kills her two children and serves 2 years in a mental hospital...a man kills a womans dog when she pisses him off and he gets 5 years when a murderer of two kids in the same area gets 3 years.

What you want is a carte-blanche answer for something that 12 people probably discussed and came to this conclusion. That's second-guessing and I can't, in good faith, do that without knowing what they know.

I have a friend that was dating a girl who was beautiful...appeared to be very knowledgeable and mature...she came on to him...she was the one that picked HIM up...he was seeing her for three months before he found out she was 15. None of us knew. He went to jail for a year and 4 years of probation and is on the pedofile list...this, in my opinion, is totally wrong. I met her...she appeared to be in her late teens or early 20's...was he supposed to card her, or something? There are many scenarios we could go through, the point is, you and I weren't in the court-room and do not know what the facts of the case were, so don't try to second guess people. You can, by the way, get a transcript of the case and see what happened to sway their decision.

I can't imagine what would have affected the judges decision other than the offender was also a child, or a mentally challenged individual and by that I mean mentally retarded and did know the difference between right and wrong or the affect the actions would have on the abused child. If the judge made the decision based on anything other than those two reasons I think that there is a real problem with this judge. Any adult who knows that what he/she is doing is wrong should pay the maximum price for a crime of that magnitude. One other thing comes to mind, if the girl was a prostitute and he based his decision on that he should be removed from his place of power immediately. Will look for the further details this evening.

No. The law is the law. I am going to be charged with murder no matter if I kill someone outright, or just hurt them and let them bleed to death. Personally, I think that any pedophile should be put to death if found guilty.

Not even close. But then again I don't think 20 years is enough time unless Bubba would be banging them in the cornhole the whole time he was in prison.

I read about this case, and I still think that 10 years isn't enough time.
That person should never see daylight again.

No, anytime a child is involved as a victim in any crime, it should be an automatic life sentance or death!
