The router does not have a CD for setup.
Connect your computer to the router using ethernet cable. Bring up Internet Explorer & type in the address bar 192 .168.0.1 hit enter
When asked, the default username is admin & the default password is password.
You will now be in "your account" inorder to complete all the settings.
There is a download for this ie instructions on what settings to enter in your account, Click on the link below to download the installation guide & reference manual.

seems such as you have a enterprise or larger end netgear router. maximum of those routers on occasion choose for a application to run. while you're a sophisticated person, you may form the routers IP tackle in information superhighway explorer or any information superhighway source and mess with the settings in there. greater of the time tho, you do no longer choose for a disc to run a router. The disc will only incorporate community configurations to setup diverse computers on your router and different mindless courses.

I wouldn't ever use the cd from the manufacturer for the "setup wizard" anyways. The wizards that come on the discs are for complete morons who don't really care to go through the much easier to navigate interface to properly setup a network.

the ip address of most routers is 192.168.100.1, some are slightly different so the easiest way to find out what yours is is to click on start then run, type "cmd" (without the quotes) and then type "ipconfig \all" (without the quotes) see what it says for the gateway address
(This of course only works if you actually have the router connected to the pc)
Once you have that address
open your browser and type the number in the address bar.

Since its a Netgear you could just use http://www.routerlogin.net
The default login is admin for the router user name and password for the router password

I would be surprised if the router has a CD. Routers are usually controlled through a WWW address internal to the router so no CD should be required.
The Netgear support pages only provide firmware upgrades.

Okay I'm assuming the router is for AOL if not it doesnt matter. Just go on their site and click on help

then go to broadband routers wireless internet.
There it will have a download page and just download the software for your particular router

GOOD LUCK

I know it works as I did it myself
