my mother is having a miscarriage right now, how many hours should this take for the cramping, passing tissue, etc. to stop?

The last time I miscarried, the stage you are describing lasted about 3 hours. I continued bleeding, obviously, for several days, but the cramping and tissue loss took only a few hours.

She really should be seen by a doctor to help make sure she doen't bleed too much or get an infection. At least have her call a nurse, OB, or midwife, all of whom can tell her what symptoms to watch out for that would indicate needing medical help. If she was 3 months along or further, she will definitely need to be looked at by a physician, but only her doctor can advise how soon she needs to be seen.

You might want to get this checked out by a doctor in case everything doesn't pass. There is a possibility that a DNC might be needed to clean everything out....

Bright red blood is not good..you need to get her to the hospital.

Is she OK?? it depends on a lot of things. Is she bleeding a lot?? how bad are the cramps?? Do her a favour: get her to a hospital.

has she seen a doctor yet hunni ?
when i lost mine i decided against a dnc and let nature take its cause but this took over 4 weeks with weekly testing and scans.
all women are different and she really should see a doctor.
could you not call them for advice?
look after her the best you can until she gets help x x x x
