Does it really matter?
X-Factor winners disappear into obscurity within a few months of the show ending anyway.
Who won it last year? That northern lad? Shane something or other?
What's he doing now? When was the last time you saw him on telly?

The show is fixed from the moment the auditions end.
Lets look at the facts. Simon Cowell is putting up a million quid recording contract as the prize.
Now Cowell is a businessman. Plain ans simple. He's in the business of making money, not losing it by throwing it away on some hopeless cause. So it's perfectly understandable that he's going to do everything he can to protect such a huge investment.
So he knows who's going to win from the very start, and all the voting and judging is pre-planned.
Even the arguments and abuses between him and Louis are scripted. You can tell because sometimes they fluff their lines or forget the camera is on them and let out a wee grin at each other.

In a sense yes. The McDonald brothers keep getting through because they keep getting the sympathy vote each week. If Simon actually praised them instead of slating them, people wouldn't vote for them out of pity.

Seems fishy that Ray is still in. Yes, he's a great performer, but I'm getting fed up of his swing each week, his smug twirling round the stage, and his drunken sounding Dean Martin-esque vocals. I thought the X Factor was about finding someone who is versatile, not a one-trick pony who does the same thing each week.

However, the really talented and versatile ones are still in. Robert was outstanding last night and is getting better each week. He has shown that he is a lot more than a hyperactive nutter jumping about on stage. Think Leona will win, she's got a great voice and has worked hard to hone those really high notes, which she could easily squawk. I keep thinking what her reaction would be like if she actually DID win. It would be spectacular!

Not everyone in Scotland votes for them just coz they are Scottish, i certainly don't. Last night was their best performance yet but i'm actually surprised they are still there.
Leona has a great voice but what else can she do apart from power ballads?? Too many Christina's and Mariah's out there already, let's see something different from her.
Ben is the best in my eyes, his voice is a lot more unique than everyone else's there.
Ray should have gone last night, the whole swing thing is getting a bit tiresome now.

Yeah have long suspected they pre-record the shows. Tempted to find out if there's anyway of viewing the actual phone poll results. I think its all planned which order they all get voted and everything, but they only claim its through voting, to make it look fair and make BT lots of money. I don't really care who wins , but I think leona has an amazing voice. I hate the way the judges choose the songs for them too, sometimes its obvious they won't be able to handle them. Why the same songs every year? I

Because they are the only scottish band, everyone in Scotland votes for them, while the rest of the British public divide thier votes between the rest of them. Or it might be that as they are getting bad comments every week, people feel sorry for them and vote for them!
I know what they mean, they are rubbish, and it is unfair as acts who are miles better have left *cough Ashley cough*
They won't win though. Not against Leona and Ben.

The show is an advertisment for the eventual winner. Which is already chosen. I am tempted to bet money that Leona will win.

If the show isen't fixed then the people who vote are pathetically predictable.

Why are people attacking the Scottish coz these guys keep getting through. I'm Scottish and wouldn't vote for them just coz they are and neither would most people I know. Surely it's Loui's fault for putting them through in the first place?

They're not THAT bad........I wouldn't vote for them or anything but I think they are being very brave considering the amount of bad press they get. I think people are voting for them cause they are the underdogs and I agreed with Sharon last night that it would be hilarious if Simon had to give them a million pound recording contract LOL

I think Leona will win cause Ben is starting to grate a bit now, he sounds the same every week - a rock god doing crappy songs.....
